At a team of five, growth looks different than at a large company. You take on more responsibility, work across a wider range of projects, and develop deep technical expertise. Our developers individually maintain portfolios of 120 to 200+ Moodle™ plugins and work directly with enterprise clients like KLM, Nedap, and ANWB. You become self-sufficient quickly because you own your projects end-to-end. We also actively adopt AI tooling in our development workflow, including AI-assisted development and automated security scanning across our hosting infrastructure.

What is the work environment like at Ldesign Media?

Small, close, and informal. You work directly with senior developers from day one, with autonomy to solve problems creatively. We maintain high standards through code reviews and best practices, but the atmosphere is friendly and collaborative. Our office is in the coastal town of Scheveningen, near The Hague.

Is remote work available?

We work in a hybrid setup. When you start, you'll work from the office in Scheveningen to learn the Moodle™ platform and get familiar with the team and projects. Moodle™ has a learning curve, so this onboarding period is important. Once you can work independently, hybrid working becomes possible.

Profile & work environment

As a Moodle™ Developer, you'll work on custom plugin development, system integrations, and technical consulting projects for our enterprise clients. You'll be part of a collaborative team that values code quality, clean architecture, and continuous learning.

Our office is located in the beautiful coastal town of Scheveningen, near The Hague. After your onboarding period, you'll have the flexibility to work remotely while staying connected with the team.

Job requirements

Bachelor's degree level (HBO) or equivalent thinking level
Minimum 3 years of work experience
Solid PHP knowledge (OOP, MVC, SOLID principles)
JavaScript/ES6 experience
HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, LESS
Experience with Git version control
SQL database experience
Redis/caching knowledge
Web services (REST, OAuth, SAML, SOAP)
Unix knowledge (advantage)
