Which Moodle™ version can you migrate from?

We migrate from virtually any version, including heavily outdated environments, to the current 4.5 LTS or 5.x. For large version gaps we upgrade in stages, so data and custom work stay intact.

Am I at risk of data loss?

No. We always migrate on a staging environment first and take a full backup up front. Grades, certificates, progress and roles are verified before we go live. Only after your sign-off on the staging environment do we run the final migration.

How much downtime will my learning environment have?

Usually almost none. The heavy migration happens on staging; we schedule the final switch outside teaching hours, often in the evening or at the weekend, with a rollback scenario on standby.

How long does a migration take?

A standard upgrade is often completed within one to two weeks. A migration with many plugins, custom work or integrations takes longer; you will see that reflected in the migration plan with a fixed timeline.

Can you take over from my current agency?

Yes. We regularly take over existing Moodle™ environments. We document the current situation, map the custom work and ensure a smooth handover, even if the relationship with your previous provider has become difficult.

What does a migration or upgrade cost?
